Gado Gado
Gado-gado is dish originally from Indonesia. This particular recipe is
Javaness version, but there are other types of gado gado from Jakarta,
Bali.etc. It is a very popular dish and
is very easy to find street vendors, market, and restaurant. The dish consits of the boiled vegetables and
vegetable proteins served with a peanuts sauce.
Ingredients:
Directions.
Boild all vegetables until cooked but firm, set asude, heat
a friying pan, add the vegetable oil, garlic, chilli, lime leaves, and saute
lihgtly, add coconut milk, and unsweetenned peanut butter, Stir until smooth,
add acidic water and brown sugar, simmer lihgtly until sauce is evenly mixed.
Set aside. In separated heated and oil
pan, fry the tempeh and tofu, until golden brown, set aside.
Slice boiled vegetables into bite-sized pieces, arange on
a plate. Peel and cut the hard-boiled egg into a few thick slices and
arrange.add tempeh and tofu and then pour the peanut sauce over the plate.

Sauteed Kale Or Long Beans
This is a dish often cooked by th people of Indonesia and
is very taste, easy and inexpensive. Since kale has properties that can make
people sleepy. It is meal best enjoyed at home.
- 0ne bunch kale
- One large red chilli
- One small red capsicum (cayenne pepper ) to taste
- Five springs onions
- Two cloves garlic
- Approx, 3 oyster sauce
- Galangal 1/3 of a knuckle
- Salt ( to taste )
- Palm sugar ( to taste )
- Shrimp paste ( to paste )
- One tomato
- Butter or oil for frying
Cooking sauteed kale
- Prepare the kale that jas been cleaned up, removing spines and stams
- Dice the onion and garlic , tomato and peppers
- Heat the butter or oil in a frying pan, suate the onion and garlic until fragrant
- Put chilies, shrimp paste galangal and immediatelly poor in oyster sauce seasoning when th mixture is nearly done pan-frying
- Add kale,make sure that the kale has been thoroughly washed and patted dry or the extra water shaken off. Do not add axtra water to the pan.
- When close to done or done, add the salt and sugar to taste. It is likely not much salt is needed, since the shrimp paste and galangal are already quite
- Add the tomatoes and serve.
